Hmmm....Time Period...

Yea so me and my friend were talking about warcraft yeserday, and we somehow ended up talking about the time in which they take place. Im confused because they have:
-Gyrocopters
-Rifles
and prolly other stuff i wasnt watching. So i was thinking middle ages, before i remembered that stuff. so...do you guys know?

I personally don't think WarCraft fits into any timeperiod, maybe the middle ages with more technology added. Like Final Fantasy 6.

Its world of fantasy, you cant compare it with our time period.

well gunpowder was introduced in the early fourteen hundreds by teh Italians into Europe who recieved it from the Chinese who invented it.

The problem is, the tank was introduced in 1917-1918 in World war I, and the helicopter was introduced even later. So Warcraft time period isn't really medieval period, since by the fifteen century the renaissance occurs, and Gunpower/Tanks/Gyrocopters have already been around. But this is a fantasy game, so yeah... dwarfs are pretty damn crafty.

Goblins and Gnomes are inventors. They are very crafty. So notice they are the only ones with it. I learned all this from WoW. Gnomes make weapons for Dwarves

[Sarcasm]This is all real, I saw it on TV! Elves were created by Paladine, the god of light, humans from Gilean, god of neutrality, and ogres from Takhisis, goddess of darkness. Reorx, the dwarf god of creation, created the grey gem of neutrality for some other nowhere goddess. But it was an evil god's plan! The dwarves were created from humans too greedy that wanted the mystic gem! The gnomes were created because they did not want the gem, they wanted to understand how it worked!

IT IS THE ONLY EXPLANATION POSSIBLE!!! I SAW IT ON TV! AND IN A BOOK![/Sarcasm]

Really, it's not reality, so we can't say what gnomes do and what is the elves' color hair.




And for your info, dwarves and very good crafters, mostly blacksmiths too :frustrate.

Thats exactly why they dont fit the time period.

Oh well, it beats all medieval warefare. There usually has to be some primitive tech race to top everything off. If not, then how the hell will humans smash buildings or strike down air with guns and rockets.
