HL2 demo problem

ok i installed the HL2 demo, and it installed staem, and i clicked "play HL2 demo for free!" banner (which was on its own page). i clicked it and it went to the steam main menu, and did nothing. now i cant find where to get the page again. help pweeeze!

Wait... so you can open steam up. Go to the games menu, and double click the HL2 demo icon and nothing happens?

You have to click a banner to play the demo...?

just download and install steam from steampowered.com then go to the games list and double click HL2 Demo and it will download and install it for u .

yeah, its wierd. i gave up lol. and wenever i went to the games menu and cliked on the half life menu icon it came up with a thing where you could buy HL2 and then it had a GFX icon that said "Play the demo for free" but it wasnt a link or anything so i gave up.
