Getting ready to boot up some WC3 unfortunatly I dont have any authentic keys at the moment, so I am wondering about this client Garena ive heard about.

does garena require me to have authentic keys? and how is it compared to b.net?

actually any input on the scene would be great, as ive been out of the loop far to long.

are you talking about actual war3 melee? or dota?

didnt ever really get into custom games, except micro tournament!

how is garena though, really i would like to be play on b.net, from what i here though garena is a decent alternative

Yes it is, it's the best thing after BNet, many moved to it since they quit ladder or have't played war3 for a long time (me including), not to say some prefer it to BNet for the lesser/no lag. i was trying to learn Chinese, I like it, and would be useful to know what's the spam in chinese in channels all about. 2 Notes: 1) Garena is awesome but while it has some good Chinese players that could beat me after playing that game for so long, there are also total NOOOOBS and DOTA NERDS like eerr "some people here". No, i mean really noob - who play without altar 20 mins. I take examples from good players and quit after the first min coz that's when i learn if he's noob. 2) The ladder and level system is a complete parody but who cares about levels in Garena, there are no win:losses stats for melee.

eh tried it, I dont want to say it flat out sucks, but its really not for me, I couldnt find one decent melee game. it really just made me want buy keys more to get back on b.net, except that I might be disapointed if b.net isnt what it used to be!

Well you should click on War3 TFT from the game list, not War3 RPG coz the RGP is the dota nerds. And there are enough noobs to create Dotas on War3 TFT server... I've seen very good there, but you're right the noobs there suck more than those in bnet. It's just that - don't play without asking if they r good (hopefully they won't lie or if they do quit in the 1st min u see that). Maybe you can even try Europe channels or Asia.

Sorry but that's not Garena - Azeroth has MUCH fewer good players than Northrend and Asia and I myself waited for minutes to match an opp in USEast, not to say on East all my opps were worse than Europe/Asia. Apparently US east has less people who melee, and that's for garena as well as for bnet.

Well, when i say there are much bigger noobs in garena that means both in dota and melee. But i'll tell you smth else, there many people in bulgaria's channel who are not bad at dota at all. i mean they really know how to kill and team, nothing to do with the noob games in bnet. I'm even making attempts to be from the non-noobs not dying every second. And I don't die oh yes, I've controled more than 1 hero for 5 years so this is no prob not dying with 1 hero, unless they know how to gang well.
