As for talent setups, while grinding I would go for an affliction build sort of like this one:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IE0bVMbuVz (up to lvl 40)
That build will allow you to keep your mana in a pretty decent pool for limited downtime. Just start your battles with Immolate, corruption, and CoA, life tap, drain life over and over, then when the mob is dead Dark Pact back up.
If someone is trying to gank you or for PvP, just cast your instant DoT's, fear, cast Immolate and Shadow Bolt if you have time and just kite him, not letting him get too close. If you are going against a priest or another warlock, cast Shadow Ward when you get leveled enough to get it, as well as Death Coil (36 I think?) when your life goes low enough.
After 40, just put your talent points into Demonic Embrace and then into destruction until after level 50. Personally, I respecced to Demonology after that, and I'm nearly unstoppable. The only class that holds a candle to me is rouges, and only when they kidney shot me.
Here's my build:

If you are asking about Fel Intellect and Stamina, Demonic Knowledge is pimp <3.
Does that help any?
