I have completed the third version of Heroes of War. Yes, I know. None of you have heard anything about this Heroes of what now? But you will. Heroes of War is a new idea people. You cant join this game wondering, "Is this an rpg? Is this an AOS? I like DotA, is this like DotA?"
Screw DotA, people. Screw DotA.
This game has no genre. This game needs no genre.
The only thing this game DOES need, is hosts. I can host, but I am only one man. I need loyal servants to do my will. Please download the map and host it. What can it hurt? If you don't like it, shrug your shoulders and go on with your miserable life. But you WILL like it. And you WILL host it many, many times.
I'd give you the link for the map, but this site isn't letting me. So just post that you would like the map and I'll find a way to send it to you.
Enjoy!
Ever wanted to know what it would be like to be a Gryphon rider, flying over the battlefield, throwing your deadly hammers down on the unsuspecting enemy? Or maybe you'd choose to be an orc shaman or a troll witch doctor, helping your fellow tauren warriors fight at their best? Well, now you can!
This game is fairly easy to understand, but takes awhile to really know how to mercilessly crush the enemy and find out what hero you are best at. There are two teams -- known as Heroes and Villains -- each of which start of with a player appointed king. Your only objective -- kill the enemy king. Each king plays a normal (ladder) game of WC3 with a few exceptions. The max food cap starts at 50. Food buildings -- such as farms -- do not add to your max food. To gain more food, you must take over more and more gold mines. The more gold mines you take over, the more units you can make. Workers do NOT cost food.
Now, for the meat of this game. At the beginning of the game, each player (except kings) starts off with a hero based on the weakest unit of their king's race. (Footman, Grunt, Archer, Ghoul) You should begin with taking a gold mine for your king to take over, which ends up bringing you up a couple levels anyway. Once your king has made more powerful units, you may decide to say "-kill" or "-suicide", wait for your hero to die, and click a unit owned by your king that you find to be more powerful. OR you can choose to keep your hero and try to reach max level. (Level 20) WARNING: when you die, all items drop from your body and your new hero will be level 1. You NEVER keep your level. NOTE: After level 5, the only way to gain experience is to pwn enemy units.
In version 2, encampments were added. Encampments are a way to stop the heroes from rushing the enemy king and killing him in the very beginning, before he has the chance to train an army. Encampments are small buildings with 3 random level creeps on guard. 5 total encampments must have benn killed before you can attack the enemy king.
In version 3, Bounties were added. If you have the balls and the high level to attack the middle, you can buy a 500 gold bounty at the Bounties R Us building. You will be given 5 minutes to kill a random enemy hero -- which will be revealed to you on the map -- without dying yourself. If you succeed, you will gain 5 levels. (Which is a lot for all you n00bs out there)
So have fun exploring the many heros and their abilities and go pwn that enemy king. Please leave constructive comments, telling me what you like/dislike about the game. There will most definitely be a version 4, in which I will add some hilariously awesome items to little shops at each expansion territory. So please give me any ideas I could also include in v. 4. Thank You!
