Help with server split problem please.

Ok need some help ratehr hard problem here!

Hey people I'm new to this site, and jsut to tell u don't go to www.warcraft3.com lol. They got mods that ban people when they in a bad mood like me lol. But I deserved it lol.

Back to my problem. ALL I NEED IS SOMEONE to dl my map and fix the dam server spilts. I can't find out what is doing it. It only happens in round 1 I beileve so someone PLEASE ASAP LIKE WITHIN 5 MINS OF THIS POSTING help me. Put me on your friend list and whisper me when u can. I need help its driving me insane. PLEASE HELP ME

Still no map...to add it, when you make a new thread, look for file attachment and click on Browse... then add your file. Once it's up I'll check it out for you.

not sure but is this it? Icey's Mega Man Maul 1.0~2 That's what it's saved as. I really have no clue what Im right clicking and saving though. It be nice if someone gave me spefic how to do it.

You need to attach your map to your forum posting so that we can download it here. When you are replying to this thread, below the box you type in, there is a section titled "Attach file." Please see the attached JPG file (by clicking the link below) I made showing where that is. Click "Browse." Navigate to the the map, which is likely under C:\Program Files\warcraft III\Maps and then maybe under the further path "Download."

I don't think I can explain it any more clearly than that.

If you would post a map and not a replay file we could help. Since your replay is like 1.14 and I'm beta testing I can't view or update your replay. Posting the map would realy help alot.

Server split you say?

There are several things that can contribute to it:

-You have too many units.
-You are telling a large number of units to move at the same time.
-You are creating a large number of units at one time.
-You have too many doodads, special effects, or units on the screen at once.
-You constantly create persistent special effects but never destroy them.
-You have periodic events firing too often. If your periodic event needs to fire more than once a second then you should probably use a different kind of event.
-You have many timers or wait statements running at once.

Also if you are using custom text, and you happen to be using the LocalPlayer data that could also cause problems.

Unlike all other variables in your map, this variable will be DIFFERENT for each person playing the game. This means that if you use this variable in the condition part on an "if" statement, you can make the game run differently for each player. If you create a unit, kill a unit, or otherwise change the game state for one person and not for another, then those players will disconnect from each other.

If you play a sound, create a quest, or similar, the game state will not change and nobody will disconnect.

Since I'm not understanding you could u look at my map and try fixing it?

I don't have the map editor installed anymore, sorry. I can't help you, but maybe some one else can.

Shit and how do you not have it installed if u got the game. That is I'm assuming u have the game.

Correction: I used to have it installed. So...its not installed anymore. :susp

So u just come ehre to help people thoguh u don't play the game or amke maps? That's wierd I think.

Forum isnt place where everyone just jumps in to help you friend, Aragorn here, quit war3 recently, but pity, he was one of few that used to jump into help others...

I would try and help, but I dont have much knowledge in Map making, just try and UNDERSTAND what Aragorn said up there.
