Help with no-cd, I read the stickies.

I read the stickies and searched the forum.

I have copied the necessary mpq files and I have no cd in my drive. D2 has been patched to 1.1 before I messed with mpq files, and it worked fine. Ideas?

Try using gamejack instead of a no-cd crack. It has a 14 day trial limit but a serial is easy enough to find. Never tried to use it and play online though.

Oh. actually, im going to my friends house in germany and he and his friends all use a no cd hack or something to those ends. ill post you or pm you if this is closed by the time i return.

i think i had a similar problem

d) CD Key injection

- Now that you have overwritten the mpq files, your cdkey that was saved in them has been lost. in this part of the tutorial, you'll need your cdkeys, so get them .

- Open your Diablo II folder and search for the auto-cdkey.reg file. DONT OPEN IT, but rightclick on it and select "Edit". Something like this will show up:

my problem was that it didnt say the bolded parts, it said "cdkey.mpq" so i just went and changed them to the appropriate ones, regardless of him saying not to edit them, works fine for me now

you had a different version of onlyers than me, then... my cd-keys aren't the problem.. they work fine. And I double-checked to make sure... it is cdkey.mpq.
