Help with mods

whenever i install a mod (replace it with the original d2_patch file) and start the game up it runs fine. until i try to get to the character screen on single player. then my game freezes and i have to alt tab out and i see a message that says unhandled exception.

anyone know how to let me play my ancestral recall mod?

check on www.d2mods.com if your mod works with 1.10, if it doesnt, then you should download another mod
