Help with d2loader

i'm having a problem getting d2loader to work properly...actually i suppose the problem is with d2cdkey..i can get d2 running as many times as i want, but i can't get bnet to recognize them as separate cdkeys...anyone have a little time to help me out? it would be much appreciated

that explains my problem...all the guids i saw had me using "d2sfx.mpq" and "d2char.mpq"...thanks a lot for the help...i'll get back to u if i have any other issues...hopefull i dont

Well, i don't know what to say...i'm back here a lot sooner than i had hoped : /

I've followed the instructions in your guide, and my brain tells me it SHOULD work...but it doesn't...bnet is telling me that the cdkeys were meant for use by another application...i've used these cdkeys b4, and i've triple- and quadruple-checked for typose...but there aren't any...

any suggestions?

i figured that prob out...lol...i was loading the cdkey, THEN copying the one from the d2loader file to d2...hence going back to the one "onlyer" used...so i fixed that, but i still can't get both keys working at once...i've been goin round on this for over a month, kinda aggravating me....*sigh*...also, i know they're not banned...i can use either one on bnet...just wont' get both going at once for some reason.

hmm.. only thing i can think of is going back through step 8 from the beggining and pretend u've never done it before and its your first time.. it should work.. works for me

like u're not putting in the classic cd key -- updating and finishing the steps, then going back and redoing the whole thing for the lod key, u're putting the classic/lod keys in at the same time

oh lol...yes, i'm filling both simultaneously...that's kind of a no-brainer...but then, you would probably say that about this whole process....i'm completely lost at this point. i'd love to be able to get this to work, to rush myself, mule solo, all kinds of nifty things, but over a month of trying so far, and no luck : /

u're not using it to bot!! i just realized that..... ok ok ok ok oooooookkkkkkkkkk

now u copied the file cdkey.mpq into your d2 directory, make a shortcut from the d2loader.exe thing that u pasted into the directory early in the steps that looks like the classic d2 shortcut, make 2 shortcuts to it

name one shortcut : Gaming
name the second: Mule

go to properties and put this at the end of the the target:

-w -skiptobnet -title "Diablo II"

now go to the second shortcut and put this at the end its target:

-w -skiptobnet -title "Mule" -mpq cdkey.mpq

so do i need to follow the steps regarding cdkey2.mpq or not? i tried it as is, and i still got "cdkey in use"..so i'm wondering if i need to change something from an earlier step

if you want to you can, it should work 100% if you do a cdkey2.mpq that u KNOW has diff cd keys than cdkey.mpq..

just put one of your shortcuts to -mpq cdkey.mpq

and the other to -mpq cdkey2.mpq

it still won't work...out of curiosity, i looked in the registry, and only one set of cdkeys is there...is that ok, or is the 2nd one supposed to show up there also? doesn't seem right to me....bleh

tell ya what, get your first classic/lod cd key set, write it down, set it on the left side of your keyboard

get your second set -- make SURE its different from the first set, write down the classic/lod keys and put them on the right side of your keyboard

uninstall diablo 2 completely, reinstall it, use the keys that are on your left, tear up the peice of paper and throw it away, go to step 8 in my guide, follow it like its your first time, use the keys on the right side of your keyboard, make the shortcuts like i said, and on the second add the command -mpq cdkey.mpq

if it still doesnt work then i cant help you. sry lol

I'm about to give up...i unistalled, and reinstalled, and it all went to hell...cdkeys intended for another application...i know their the right keys, and i triple checked for typos or what not....blah, what a rip-off...bleh, i feel like a moron
