Help with an IRC bot

Okay, I have a problem. I'm trying to run a good IRC bot (if you know of any good and simple one PLEASE post them) on a clan channel. Problem is, i can't get it to work without me being online. I've read the READ ME's but they don't give that much detail. Any help is grately appreciated.

I think what you need is a BNC (bouncer). I haven't really looked into those, but they stay online on IRC under your synonym or act as a bot etc. It's like a small server that you can feed with info and it's optimized for IRC and stuff and theyre only like a dollar per month or something I think.
