Help on foh paly pvp!

i am gonna make a foh paly. This is MY plan but tell me if any of these are wrong and tell me what I should get instead. Thx ^^

Foher:
Max Foh
Max Holy Shock
Max Conviction
Max Holy Shield
Rest... Donno Holy Bolts I guess

And I also need help with equip. PRETEND I can get any equip so tell me what's the best. Here's what I have in mind

Helm-Shako with.... um? p ruby? lightning facet? donno
Armor-Enigma
Belt-Arachnids
Shield-Herald with..... um? lightning facet? donno
Gloves-Magefist? Frostburn?
Weapon-40 resist Hoto
Rings- SOJ and another SOJ? or maybe a raven frost or raven spiral? donno
Amulet-30 resist Maras?
Full Combat GC's with 20 to life scs? donno

Stat points:

Str-83 for Herald (5 from maras and 2 from Shako) The extra one so with the 20 to str from herald i'd have 103 for archon plate enigma?

Dex-75 percent block with my gear and holy shield?

Vita-Rest

Energy-Base or maybe 50? 100? 150? Donno about foh

Use a Griffons with 2 Lightning Facets.

No Energy.
Charms + Annih.
Str: Enough for Enigma
Dex: Put points in here AFTER YOU ARE DONE WITH ALL YOUR GEAR + SKILLS for the 75% Block
Rings: Soj + BK
Ammy: Good Caster Pally Ammy (+2, 10 Fcr, Mana, Resist)
Gloves: Frosties is my choice.
Put conviction last (Remember, it max's out at 150%, so extra points are not necessary)

FoH: 20
holy shield: 18
conviction: 20
Holy shock: 20
all resist aura:1
holy bolt:20
charge: rest

Helm: griff with 2 facet/shako with facet
armor: enigma/GA
belt: archind/24% FHR with resits(if ur poor..)
shield: umd ss(barb or charge din)/faceted / HoZ faceted
weapon: hoto
gloves: magifist
rings: Soj + BK(Fire sorc)/wispprojector(trapper)/Raven frost(FO sorc)
ammy: same as Kao...

there u go! seems like modified one, but oh well.

Advice on the holy bolt, dunt max it cuz it only add dmg to the holy bolt dmg which only dmg the undead, so dunt max it.

Dunno on the spare pts, its not lik he goni to raise it to lv99.

Didnt u heard wat ive said? holy bolt ONLY dmg the undead.

i know i know.... im not that dumb (tho i thought new patch changed it to both ud and others, but w/e) so charge first then holy bolt later.

I have a question on conviction. is there any reason to increase it beyond level 15 (including skill bonus from items) where it reduces enemy's max resistance -100%? if there's no reason, then you can use those skill points somewhere else.

Umm say ur foe got 75 resist all, 75-100=-25, which means u will b doin more dmg to him, the cap for the their resistance is -100/75.

Convic is capped at -150%, I believe.

yeah, I forgot I read somewhere that characters (and monsters, I assume) can go as low as -100 resistance and the negative resistances results in even more elemental damage than when you're at zero.

guess I'll keep adding if I have points to spare.

Ok thnx strider, now it all makes sense. Since there is no need to max holy bolt then i would go straight with charge since more points are available. I was thinking about making a foher/smiter just to mess with the absorb people.

Yes, by the way..in private duels Charger/Foher is called liberator.

I thought about it and it just wont work, smite is really sucky without fanaticism (without aura smite damage is around 300).
Second of all you need high lvl holyshield which you dont have points for. Basically you just go with charge on a wep switch :fwink

get smite... its not sucky without fanta. rember.... you maxed holy shock so you can add some serios lightnging damage to your smite

also, its jus stun, after it, u use FoH, then smite.. FoH, smite.. etc... u know, jus some strat. Also, 18 to holy shield is must... or 1.. for sake of DDRaddict.

why does noone take defiance??? it adds def to holy shield!
a lvl 10 defiance in addition to a maxed HS does 460 enhanced def instead of maxed HS's 310 % def

cause you will either be using holy shock or convitcion when you duel. defianace is just a waste to have on.
