HELP.. My friends can't connect..

:doped: Help me.. plese can anyone guide me, i have a wowemu from blackstorm version 1 and i followed their instructions on how to host online so that my friends can join my server.. i tried to use my wan ip yet still my friends can't connect... the prob is my IP changes everytime i connect to the internet, i am using a dial up DSL connection, in which when i dial up a connection a new ip address i acquire.. thus i decided to signup an account in no-ip for webhosting but still my friends can't connect.. this is my following configuration...

ws_host=wowphserver.no-ip.org
ws_port=8085

realmlist = set realmlist wowphserver.no-ip.org


am i doin the right thing???

I don't quite understand this thread (welcome to bf by the way!)..but I don't think it belongs here. I'm going to move this to the Tech section, maybe you'll get some help there.

On topic..Do you have a router for any reason? If so..did you check its settings? Perhaps you need to forward port 8085 so people can connect? Also, you may need to disable/configure firewalls if you have any running.

Even if you get your server working your friends will get the shittiest fps you can imagine.
Also you're asking us to help you with something that is highly illegal.
Third, to get people to connect you need to set yourself as a DMZ host, forward some ports, and allow exceptions in your firewall as well as router assuming you have one.
Finally, get real internet. It's not 1990 anymore, fuck.

oh, you need to set your friends realmlist to your ip, not your own.
annnd signing up for a no-ip account is kindof pointless in your situation
