Help me i am new at all this

i am looking for a program that will allow me to hack in items and edit my chars. it needs to work on my computer with windows XP and work with D2 LOD v. 1.09.

any suggestions, tips, links, are greatly appreatiated

p.s. any programs that are easy to use or come with detailed instructions are prefered
