I Have Norton Personal FireWall, very popular today, and i want to be able to host. How do i configure it so that i can host without having to turn it off.

And... when i try to turn it off... It works, but still doesnt let me host! Do i have to restart it, or do i have to disable the Norton antivirus autoprotect/scanner ?

Help!

This is probably a router issue.

It sucks, when i was with the Norton AV , couldnt use Internet, thats why i replaced it with AVG Anti-Virus program v7.0. Much better but now, sometimes when a virus is found in my LAN , the comp automatically shuts down after 50 seconds, it happens sometimes

I find no reason for a firewall really. I just use WinXP's network firewall, and I keep my AV up to date, and if I ever do feel bad, I just fire up a few, but I can simply turn all of mine off =\

i dont have problems with it ^^
6112-6115 sometimes people's are set higher for some reason. I had 6112-6113, and sometimes I would find people with 6114 that never set it like that. Go to 6115 just to be safe.

Yeh im in the same boat as you buddy. You hear all this "open port 6112 and 6113". Im not sure how to go about doing this. You log onto your we based config then what next. P.s trying using DMZ host (its dangerous though).
