Help please.

Sorry to bother you all again. But for some reason I can't get StarForge to work for me. None of the pictures show up(for things like units) and I get errors when i try to load a map or do anything to a new map that isn't terrain. I followed all of the instructions and it still doesn't work. Is there anything else I should know? Thanks.

Have you tried downloading the .dlls for StarForge? Those might help.

Matrix he said that he dled all the files it said to dl but my guess is that you don't have starcraft in C:/ .

Actually, starcraft IS in C:/ and yes Matrix, I have downloaded all the .dll's. So I really don't know what is wrong.

Starforge Forums. Only suggestion.

Starforge must be having trouble loading the graphics and reading other basic data.

First, do you have broodwar? If not, that may cause some problems. I don't think I've run into anyone yet that uses only starcraft with StarForge.

Second, reinstall Starcraft. I have not tested this, but I think that if you move Starcraft after installing it, StarForge will no longer be able to locate the data it needs.

Also, in the future, please post problems on my forums.

Ah, Ok, I will post more in your forums.

But to answer your questions I have broodwar(I can't see why anyone wouldn't get it). Also, I will try to reinstal starcraft, but I might not be able to get it, because I am on Windows 2000 and I don't have admin access. If you know how to get me admin access that would be great. I've already tried changing the registry but somehow it wont allow me to change it Thanks

Remember to back-up ur map files when re-installing!

you can choose to uninstall only the game, or the game and all the maps

Mods: I think that there should be a rule in the SCUMS Forums stating that "Any problems with Starforge, contact Heimdal by email, AIM, SC, or his Forums." Sorry, im just tired of seeing threads for help for starforge when you could find it by simply asking the person who made it =( Anyway, just a suggestion.. Maybe i should have PMed but.. too late now.

If I were to create that rule, people will still post threads that ask about Starforge. When StarForge is done, that'll be when the most questions will be asked. Because questions about guedit, scmdraft, scmtoolkit, etc can be asked here and do we link them to a forum? So it wouldn't be fair that SF get's more attention that the other editors.

Heimdal , you don't need broodwar for starforge. It just disable's options , like some doodads , some sounds , some units ect. But starforge still works nicely for me.
