The newest Batman movie looks to keep going into the darkness of insanity.

Scarecrow was by far a menacing villain, but to bring back the original Bad man of Batman they are bringing a far more gruesome take on the "Happy-go-lucky" Joker.

Film makers say this movie will give children nightmares. I believe it.

From a script I read, it's going to be pretty bad. Not in a good way, but the Joker character is horribly misrepresented.

I heard it isn't so much about the image of the traditional joker, It's his eyes. The eyes of insanity.

Where the **** did you get the script? Isn't it set to come out like mid to late '08?

I'm considered an insider when it comes to anything that has to do with superheros. Period.

And, I just don't like how they're making the Joker to be. He's not some whack crazy guy like he is most of the time, he's just a normal guy that got ****ed up from Scarecrows toxin, paints his face and kills people. It's NOT the joker at all.

And trust me, I know my joker.

The Idea of the Newer Batmans is to get away from the original's comic book feel.

If you saw the the first batman (of the new series) which I assume you did then it makes perfect sense. They are taking the character of the joker, a rather insane man driven to murder and robbery and what have you and making it into something that Jack Nicholson didn't do.

I personally think the Joker doesn't need to be a smiley dood just to be the joker.

But that's not the Joker. The Joker is a scociopath with multiple personalities that snapped. The thing that they're removing from his character is what makes him The Joker.

I'm not sayiung they need to make him all camphy and happy and shit and super overthetop like the first movie, but come on.

Alright... understandable... these elements will be instilled into the new joker from the toxin....

As you have seen all of Scarecrows "patients" don't come out the same. We can assume after the "high" came down he inherented multiple personality disorder.

Pretend the toxin was the straw the broke the camel's back.

I am sure they will do a lovely job of a new adaptation on the joker.

I like that idea better, fits better with the new and darker batman movies.
Another whacked out joke movie would kinda suck since they did it already.

Right, but you're going in without knowing anything. I'm going in knowing 60 + years of Joker history, and I've ALREADY read a leaked pink script ("Final" versions are in Pink) to where I know how his character is, and what they make him to be. It's not in any way any form of Joker that has ever been seen. I've read psychopathic joker that just kills for no reason. I've read Joker that just plays practical jokes and hurts no one. I've read Joker where he's down and gritty, avenging people close to him. I've read Joker where he's given powers only gods can imagine and how that effected his personality. I've read Joker where all he wanted to do was make Batman smile and laugh, and once he did that he was WILLING GOING TO GO BACK TO JAIL.

The main point is, it's ALWAYS the same guy. Theres no 'set' origin on The Joker, as it's been told so many times, and there never really was a "this is who he was before he was the joker", but it all draws from the same thing. He was a guy that got dumped in the chem waste because of Batman, which made his wife and unborn child leave him, snapping him mentally. Blaming Batman for it he trys to get his revenge. It was said best in the mini 'arkhan asylum': "The Joker is the most bizzare case I've ever encountered. One day he wakes up and is just a normal, happy, fun-loving clown. The next he wants to murder all the jews to quote unquote finish what Hitler started. The next he wants to run a puppy store and sell happiness to little kids, and after he wakes up again he wants to squeeze the little kids heads off".

Which joker was it where batman ripped his jaw off... I'm not much of a batman fan but I did read that particular issue and was quite pleased.

But NO movie can compact the years and years of character development that comic books are known to have in their villians... just be happy its not the penquin.

I like how that sounds. I hope they at least give this joker a small piece of that kind of Bipolar personality disorder.

I do believe the line "This is the most bizzare case I've ever encountered." was said at the end of the first movie By Inspector whatever when he hands Batman a joker Card.

But please mike... tell me... From the picture of how the joker and the dark themes used in the first movie... Do you think this joker will be Better than Jack Nickelson's take?
