Guys, i've got a problem here!

hey guys, i'm trying to change my avatar, but every gd picture i save saves in bitmap. whats the problem, and how do i fix it?

Attach the pic to your next post and i'll save it as a gif/jpeg for you, and attach it back.

The problem is you don't have software that can properly compress files into the correct formats. Installing Photoshop should allow you to do this, or perhaps downloading some patch from the IE website.

u hav to highlight th picture and right-click and say save picture as.
then th screen pops up and this desktop icon appears. then type in th name and then put .JPG at th end

yes when save the picture, it says save as type : bitmap (*.bmp) when i save pictures

ok..... under where u want to name it is a nother option... its probably set on.bmp change it to .JPG

ok, try to save it on th desktop and where its set to : bitmap (*.bmp) either delete th *.bmp and type in whatever you wanna call it and then .JPG or theres an arrow that gives u th options of different files. select jpeg or gif

if those 2 aren't available, select all files, then save as ???.jpg or .gif
