Hammer on is (prolly) something to do with pedals, and a certain effect.

Sliding is sliding down the frets (or up) and not taking your hand off it...7h10 means you'de play 7 on D, hit your hammer on, hit 10 within the certain amount of time.

Hammer isn't a pedel...it's the oposite of sliding.

Sliding: When you have a finger on one fret and after picking the string slide it up or down to the designated fret without picking up your finger so it'll sound.

Example: 5/7 wuld be have your finger on the 5th fret and sliding your finger up to 7.

I can't explain hammer-ons well so..

Example: You have your index finger on the 3rd fret, pick the string and raise your middle or ring finger and slam it down on the 5th fret.

7h10 would be having your index finger or whatever and hammering-onto the 10th fret.

In-case you need to know:

Mute note: Place your fingers or palm over the designated strings, but don't press on them, and then play those strings.

Listen to Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit. You can hear Cobain making the mute sound throughout the song.

Pull-off: Have a finger on a fret and pull it downward and off the string.

Examples: Have your index finger on the 3rd fret and your middle finger on the 5th fret and pull the middle finger downward off the string.
