I think you should start up a test run thing right now. There are the Beta Test Weekends for those of us who got the pre-order package. Also, having the few members that will be there November 6th and 7th (THIS Saturday and Sunday) spreading the word of BattleForums will draw people here. It would be a shame if those people had nowhere to post......

People who play GW during the Beta Tests up until and after the release will want a place to gather to share their experiances, trade items, set up times to go on guests, etc...

True, there are already 'fan sites' out there. However, BattleForums just seems to be the right place for GWs, not to mention all the other 'battle' related games(sc, wc, diablo, cs...) You already have what, two RTS games(SC and WC), one FPS(CS), and one RPG(I think Diablo is RPG, never played it)...

yeah..i wish i knew if anybody here WAS doing the beta test...that would be the basis for the forum, if it even comes into existance...i wish i could b-test, but my parents wont let me play gamkes during weekday and i can only play for 2 hours during weekend..its TYRANNY!!!!! so if somebody is doing beta test let me know..ill compile a list and get it to an admin and propose a forum for gw, when it comes out, using the knowledge derived from the beta testers as the base of the forum, expanding as moer pleople play

Dude, your parents are insane! It's your weekend, you should be able to play as long as you want! I'm glad my parents weren't like that, then again I didn't give them much choice. If I wanted to do something, I did it.

Anyway...

I'm playing in every single Beta Test weekend! My level 20 Mesmer/Necro needs her skills upgraded, as do her weapons. It does suck that they will wipe everything when they release the game! :doh I'll have to start all over to get my Mesmer/Necro back to level 20! Also, as soon as I get enough Gold, I'll be starting a BF Guild! That way all BFers that play can simply join the guild so we can stay in contact and go on quests and have a party!

I had an idea a few days ago... What if GW was a mix of RPG, FPS, and RTS? We could build our own cities RTS style. Set up Item stores, have guild sign-up centers, and all sorts of other shit. What if GWs attack system was FPS style? Hit a key to select the closest enemy, hit another key to attack! None of that use the mouse to attack shit! Then there is the RPG side, quests, talking to people, buying and upgrades items, etc...

Is it just me, or is the chick on the GW box hot?

I voted No. When the game first comes out, just stick to the PC forums. If we get an overwhelming amount of posts for only Guild War in here, then we'll decide what to do from there.

Well... The November Beta Weekend has just ended! :doh I want them to make it a whole WEEK!!! :doh

My lvl 20 Mesmer/Necro got her ass handed to her when a mob of at least a dozen lvl 18 Fire Elements ganged up on her! Blasted Armor wasn't strong enough! :doh So I started a new char! I now have a lvl 15 Warrior/Necro and he OWNED those damn Fire Elements! My dude's Dragon Sword does 50-60 Damage! His War Hammer does 75-90 Damage!

Oh yea, a few minutes before they closed GW down on everyone, I created the BattleForums Guild! I'm just hoping that they don't wipe everything when they release the game! If they do, I'll have to start ALL over with my char and creating the BF Guild! BTW, only BFers are allowed to join the BF guild!

There was one thing that I thought was funny as hell durring the last 20 minutes...

The developers made everyone goto Lion's Arch District 1 and started messing around! Using spells on everyone then killing everyone! YOU CANT FIGHT IN THE TOWNS! That's what was soo goddamn funny about it! "oh, im just buyin some shit and BOOM im dead! WTFOMGHAXXORS!"
