[glow=[silver]Whenever I try to open a map up on GUEdit, it always says:MPQ2K not installed correctly. Then i hit okay, and then it says: Unable to start mpq2k. class java.io.IOException:CreateProcess: mpq2k\mpq2k e "C:\Program Files\Starcraft\maps\ and then the name of the map.scx" "staredit\scenario.chk" error=0 Help?[/glow]
I've had the same problem with this and nobody here got the answer. If you have a windows XP, do the following: (this worked for me)
Move the guedit folder(contains the mpq2k and all the other stuff) to this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\WINDOWS\system
then run the program from there.
I'm also having problems with GUEdit. I'll get it open, load my map and click edit terrain. Then it asks me to load a file again... so I dunno what it wants so I load my map again. Some black windows flash on the screen for like a half second and then I get error 415: Unable to install tileset files. Can anyone tell me how to get this to work properly?
it wants you to load starcraft.exe, (the starcraft program you run when you start sc up) go to your sc folder, and select the sc icon/.exe program, that is what you run after hitting edit terrain.
Yeah, it's kind of obvious, when you click on edit terrain. A window pops up. Then look at top left of the window. It says, Find Starcraft.exe. it also says this in the readme file.
#2 Just right click on the Guedit folder
Click either copy or cut
Then at the bottom left of your monitor is the start button.
Right click on it
go to explore
Then go to this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\WINDOWS\system
After you are in the system folder,
right click anywhere on the white space
Then click on paste.
Now try loading guedit from there and open a map.
button instead of double posting.
#2 What do you mean page cannot display? You just move stuff to another folder and then open up stuff from it. How does it say page cannot be display?
:shoot YOU ARE ALL WRONG he needs to unzip the files all the way (windows xp: in the top left corner of the screen is a text link that says extract all files, click it. All other operating systems: get winzip and unzip the files from there)
