GTA3 For Pc!

I have just bought GTA3 for pc. And since my comp suck ass, meaning I cant play on my computer... ( Not enough video memory) I decided to install it in my sisters computer. So I did... any who... It worked... but when I run down the street facing straight it starts to lag like a mother****er! can any one help me stop the lag? But when am facing down or up the lag stops... same goes to driving, driving also lags me.. so when I attack some gangster they all open shots on me and I cant do shit cuz its too laggy! HELP!

tune the settings of the game down, like sound or graphic requirements

set the draw distance almost all the way down n download the latenst drivers fer yer gfx card!!

or change the camera angle, thats what I did, no lag. But now I just got a new comp and it was great. Beat it. it was fun...

go to option of the game.. jus give it a low for graphic details.. get rid of shadows.... no sound... that should be better

get urself ATI 9800 Pro.. (woot) then uwill have no lag at all!

ok i do it but is ATI 9800 Pro a card thingy? and does it install by iteself? cuz the other comp got no internet... and is ATI 9800 Pro free? and where can i get it?

Hi mate it might be that your sister's computer has shity CPU and the computer is not showing its top perfromance so you could check the hardware sitution on your pc to see if your graphics,sound and memory card is suitable for the game if not you need to upgrade your pc

you should dl the nvidia graphic fix for gta3 its a bugg in nividia driver i think? if u don't have it. then u no wondering why it's lagging, i can't post it now cause im at work.
and btw: gta3 is't raelly that fun

Hi guys i can understand what you are saying about the computers specification but it normally doesn't make a difference withthe game play you should check the game spec on the back of the game but if it doesn't work you can always try to reboot your pc and wipe everything off and install everything again

What are you talking about? His PC specs have everything to do with how the game is running.

Mind explaining on how reformating would be any help? What is on your harddrive has nothing to do with your FPS. Unless you have some virus.

Yes it can help 2 reformate ure computer, it depends on how much u have installed and what, and if u habve unistalled it rigth or just delited it. it can make a major different.


But i don't think this is about that because if that are not going 2 slow down so much, u have 2 screw upp your comp really much.
I think this is about the nvidida bugg fix for GTA3 that came a litle while after the game, that fix alot of problem with it, and that he use a very higth resulotion.

but it can ofcours be that the comp is 2 shity but he said that hes sister computer is brand new so it should be enogth 2 run GTA3 (the game is't that new).
but if he has like a office computer and use max res. then it while lagg quite much.

Ok guys...let me explain something to you that AxL forgot to clarify I'm guessing. Reformatting isn't gonna do dick for you unless you are infected. It does not depend on how much you have installed...all that effects is loading time, because the last thing you installed will always start up slower than the program you installed first due to the way your hard drive organizes itself.

some installed shit REALLY DOES slow your computer down if there are stuff that run in the backgrond and auto start shit and if the program u installed put files in windows mapp and u just delite the folder u selected where it would be the are still windows files left of that progy, and in time that will slow down your computer, and i mean in Loooooong time. but it does, if u have alot of files in your windows folder it slows down 2.
