Just curious as to how the + damage from the runeword Grief is calculated? I was told that a Grief Zerker equipped Concentration Barb does some insane damage in PvP. Anyone know?

Thanks! :goofy

the dmg is added to "base dmg", which is really the same as having that much more dmg on the weapon. a +400 grief zerker, for example, is like having 424-471 dmg. conc barbs, like zealots, usually don't need to worry much about weapon range, so i suggest using grief in a phase blade. it's just giving up a small amount of dmg for a lot more speed, not to mention u never have to repair it. also, phase blades look so damn cool.

So the +400 damage would be added after a successful hit and you won't see the + damage in your character's damage amount in the character screen? Does the + damage % bonus from concentration will multiply the +400 damage from Grief or will the +400 damage just be added to whatever damage the weapon itself does?

Would you say this is the best weapon for PvP concentration barbs to use? Or is there a better alternative?

Thanks for the help!

there's a display bug where dmg added by grief is not shown. just ignore that.

yes, concentrate does multiply the added dmg from grief, as well as every other physical dmg source u have. the dmg works the same way as dmg charms do.

if u use grief on a phase blade, u need a total of 42% ias to have the fastest conc, 9 fpa. that's easy since grief gives 30-40% ias already.
