Green Videos?

Every once in awhile, I'll download a video (Warez, oh noes!) and when I open it, the entire thing has this nasty green hue. When I go to differnet parts of the video, it becomes blocky and retains the strange green stuff.

Is this because I'm missing a codec of some sort, or is it a problem with the video itself? Oh, and currently, one of the messed up videos I'm trying to watch is an Mpeg and I've tried to open it with various players: Divx, Windows Media Player, Plextor A/V Player, and even Winamp.

Some enlightenment on this subject would be greatly appreciated. I will give you plenty of butt secks.

1. download the latest update for the video player
2. download most 3rd party codecs :0 eg. divx, xvid ect.

Green normally means that it is an Xvid video and you don't have the codec.

Just as a tip, some codecs (such as Nimo) cancel out the Xvid codec and you won't be able to watch your video with it installed, so if you have Nimo, get rid of it to watch your Xvid video.

Hey, thanks guys. The Xvid codecs fixed the problem, but only after I uninstalled Nimo.
