Green bar help

Ok, I had this problem before but I fixed it or it went away and now its back. When playing AOE3 (other games like Doom3, GOW etc) I get this vertical green bar on the side of my screen. I believe it has something to do with my video cards and output. IS there a way to turn that **** off? TY
