Graphics card quandary

Ok, im about to upgrade my graphics card (hopefully) and money isnt a big factor in this.

Ive narrowed it down to 2 options, but i cant decide what i want.

im fighting between these:

- DIAMOND 2900XT1GPE Radeon HD 2900XT 1GB 512-bit GDDR4 PCIE

-XFX - NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 PCIE

Now, I'm a red team fan, and always have been. I -want- to get a red team card, but when comparing the two, It looks like the Green team is at the top right now

what do you guys think about the 2 cards? which ones superior, perhaps i havnt done enough research (im still reading around the web), im thinking that if the Nvidia isnt TOO much better, ill go with ATI just for the sake of having ATI...

They are at 8800 already? ****! My computer is almost[/i[ a year old and I have dual 7900's. I hope I'll still be able to play new-er games w/o having to upgrade too much.

ATI is good. Nvidia is better I think. Not by much, just hits that extra point. But its ultimately your choice.

yeah thats how im looking at things...and the simple fact that moneys not a big stopper on this, i want to get the best...

Either way your card is going to be kicking ass, both those cards should get unreal fps in any game available.
Whichever you chose, please don't buy them from bestbuy

the only rule is, i have to pick from things bestbuy offers
