Got Scammed...

I feel really gay begging like this, but I need to re-gear my sorc so I can start botting again.

If you don't know already, Josh (xjMan88lx) scammed me, which is why he's out of BoD now......but I have nothing. He took everything:

Isted Occy
Uped Eth Skulders
Um SS
Um Shako
Arach
Unid Tals Armor
Mavs Armor and Helm

That was just what was on my sorc.

Anyways, my point is, I need some stuff so I can start botting again. I'll pay you back once I can get some items.

Looking for:

Belt (15% tals or arach)
Boots (travs)
Armor (skulders, valor, enigma, etc..)
Weapon (occy, +2-3 eldritch)
Shield (rhyme, lidless, ss)

That's some of the stuff I need. I don't need a helm or and ammy, because Tweak and Barret (kiki) were kind enough to donate a shako and a rising sun. I need mostly +skill stuff.

And here's how he did it, for those of you who care.

He brought me, Tweak, and another clan member into a channel, supposidly for a "guessing game" for a free IK armor. I was bored and had nothing else to do, so I went ahead and participated.

He started by "The closest birthday to mine gets IK"....and repeatidly did that for everything he needed to do a pw recovory on a Yahoo email account. I didn't even think that he might scam me, which is why he got me.

He went into my email and changed the pass. Then, he did a pw recovery on my d2 account. The new pw was mailed to my email address, which he had. He then changed my pass and registered email on B.Net and stripped the account. Now I have it back, but with very few items (only items I have were donated to me). 90 sorc is almost naked. =/

What? The Closest birthday gets it...but that doesn't explain how he got your items....

Xiode gave his birthday date because the guy said the closest birthday gets it, so they would have to say their birthdays to compare.
And he did that for each of the stuff to do a password recovery on a yahoo account..easy

xjMan88lx was kicked out of clan before this happent but he gave lots of people items and they all trusted him again go figure

He was kicked before that? I know he was still a clan helper at the time....because Jason had refused to kick him from the clan totally before.

i was just wondering, how did he know you had an yahoo email or even if he did, how did he know your email?
and does yahoo only ask for your birthdate for email recovery?

True, it was clever. That, and being unaware tha he might try and scam me, is how he got me.

You need birthday, zip code, gender, and secret question I think. He knew my email cuz he's like, "btw, what's yalls emails?"
I gave it to him thinking that he wanted to send me a chain email or a funny picture or something.

Doens't he need to know your cd key for getting your account recovery?
Did you tell him your cdkey?
Or was the password on yahoo same as your diablo?
