Gossip and Rumors...

What do you think about these two subjects? I think they are both bullshit and need to stop around the world, and especially our communities.

Especially at school for me. Both of those have killed 6 of my best friends friendships with me, and also hurt people around me greatly, as well as myself.

It was everywhere back in High School. Some gossip just hurts when it comes to making friends. Wait till you get to college when you're with REAL PEOPLE!

Spreading rumours are pretty much a waste of time, but something that many people enjoy doing because it makes them feel like being in a position of "power" that they know something that some people may not know about.

If gossip is more of positive small talk, it should generally be more beneficial than harmful as it's one way to spread good news like a grape vine. But when it's associated with hurtful comments, one thing can lead to another and usually the beginning of the story is totally different from the end because it gets twisted so much as it goes from one person to another. At worse, it mainly causes reputations, friendships and close bonds to break down.

Right on, except that I have a faction list.

ALLY- People you can trust with everythingand call friends.
FRIENDLY- People you can hang out with and trust with somethings.
NEUTRAL- People you don't really talk to and know nothing about.
UNFRIENDLY-People that you avoid, and think low of and vice versa.
HOSTILE- People that you hate, attack, and make fun of.

I have about 5 allies, many many friendlies, many neutrals, not too many unfriendlies and barely any hostiles.

Either your friend was like mine whenever he'd say stuff or he was just being weird, no offense. My friend is worse, he comes up to me and he says "Guess what, I own your house, aren't you supposed to be pissed?". Then I am like, "wait, what?". Gawd, what a foolish kid!

I loved the fact that when I was in my wreck, the passengers' mom spread a rumor that I had broken my left femur. Yet I was out of the hospital 9 days later. I must be able to recover fast, seeing as how my arm isn't healed yet.
