I just wanted to get your opinions and veiws on the concepts of Good and Evil.

Personaly I think they are mearly two perspectives of different sides, both see their views as right and the others as wrong.

Almost any choice has both positive and negative results, so it is difficult to categorize any particular action as one thing or the other.

For example: Genocide? Sure, it involves killing millions, but it helps with the whole overpopulation issue.

From a religious standpoint it's pretty obvious what good and evil are.. but theres so much more behind it than just god and the devil i think..

Everybody has their reasons for doing something.

*Good* and *evil* are called positive and negative in my book. And the one can't exist without the other.

Exactly. So we might not support genocide, but you have to admit it has its perks.

Then again... where does good and evil differ from moral and immoral? Are they the same, or even directly correlated?

Genocide is a negative action. I don't support any negative actions. I just understand that there can't be positive without negative.

So you believe actions are either negative or positive, that there is no positive aspect to genocide? Take an action such as abortion, which is seen as good by some and evil by others, whereas the action itself is very much subject to the situation taking place; it can be either "positive" or "negative," thus the lengthy debate concerning the subject by those who see the issue in black and white.

Abortion is a negative action in my book. But I firmly believe that every woman has the right to decide whether to go ahead with it or not.
