Goldy hacked items? or big fat scam?

We've all seen the website spam going on in the battle.net channels, but not until today have I ever visited any of the sites. So I was bored as hell and decided I would check some of them out. One in particular really caught my eye. www.buggeditem.com. They were offering GODLY bugged items unlike any I have ever seen. The site is very confusing though. In the description section it says "uswest and useast open battle net". Seeing as USEast and USWest are closed battle.net realms, this is obviously not right. The site also only takes payment through bank draft, money order, cashier check or cash. No PayPal or other online payment method accepted (has no mention of personal check). It all seems a little iffy to me. If it is a scam, it is a VERY elaborate one. Has anybody ever attempted to purchase an item from this site or seen any items like what is on there? Or does anybody have the balls to try it?

Another quote from the site: "The items are on both USWEST and USEAST BATTLE NET". The prices are definently closed realm prices. It's like $40/item.

If you go into the FAQ, it's hard to notice but he says its not for closed basically and it's for open battle.net. Legally, he can do this and he probably actually good scam a few people. If I were him I would just post the new bugs (2-socket shako, 4 socket ss, etc) really cheap like $2.00 and maybe people wouldn't notice the FAQ really for such a cheap price.

Notice how the mule account will be directly emailed to you? He's sending you the character file with the items ordered. Therefore it can be open.battlenet only

Nah, legally he can't do this for the sole reason that he says that they are on USEast and USWest. He specifically says that. Open b.net does not have realms. It's all one conglomerate. I wrote the guy asking him to show me in a game. Haven't gotten a reply yet. We'll see.

Its not a scam, he just sells items for open b.net. Which is a good bussiness plan to take cash from newbs. There are plenty of new players who think that these items would total dominate eveyone on closed so they buy em, but all they get is worthless open items. Which can easily be created with an item creator program. mewgood.com has a bunch of em (which u probly already know) If you read the info on the site it says they are for open not closed. the guy probly has made tons of money off ignorant people. so its their fault for not knowing what they are buying. i just wish i thought of doing it first.

It IS a scam because while he does say open b.net, he also says USEast and USWest. There is not USEast and USWest on open, so yes, it is a scam. I agree though...he has probably made a fortune on that site. And of course, since he does not accept online payment, he will NOT be giving refunds and there is no way to force him to.

actually.. its probably illegal for the same reason all of the "legitimate" d2 realm item shops are illegal.. they're selling goods they dont technically own (items) .. same reason you cant sell shit you get or characters you make on everquest
