Godly Items???

Ok I have been playing for about three weeks and I have a lvl 80 Paladin. Now seeing that I have reached a decent lvl you would think that better items would become available to me, think again. For some reason I can never find any really great items and i dont have anything of worth to trade for the godly items and runes people offer. Plz help me out and tell me how I can start getting some good equipment and enjoying this game so much more!

You should try making a blizzard sorc to mf for a while. then trade off items and get better ones.

EDIT: Oh yea after you eqiup you palidin (hopefully a hammerdin) do some "Rush u 4 Forge" games. Get some runes and trade for more gear. always works

actually i advisea gainst rushing 4 forge, because of the simple fact that ppl scam that constantly

id stick with making a mf sorc, and doing meph runs, gathering gear (tradign wut u get for it) for a mf setup, shako, tals armor/amy, etc etc, that way you will find items faster

then make a second sorc, a lightning sorc, she doesnt need mf because she will be acountess runner, once u get her, start doing countess runs, after a while of that us hould have enough to afford someof the godly items (enigma, hoto, etc, etc) to make a good hammerdin

If you dont want to make a sorc(they ARE best for mfing) just do elritch/shenk/pindleskin runs with your pally,they drop good stuff,and a hammerdin should be able to kill them noi problem

That's why I never rush strangers for forge. I know friends IRL or on these forums will never scam me or they will have there rep ruined/get kicked in the nuts :hxc .

Go on runs and grab items like HoZ and Baranar's. Might be difficult and annoying but it can be worth it if you manage to get the items you desire. As everyone says, I recommend a good mf sorc to grab the stuff you need.

how do ppl in d2 find all the godly stuff like maras? and then how do ppl get hi runes like vex and jah hella quik when new ladder starts..my friend made a pheonix in 5 days after ladder reset?????

Now that the keys are out work as hard to save 2 sets and get vex, then get the easy ones like pul thul ko, make a hoto with a flail "not knout".if u get a 35 hoto or higher u have a start.Trade 35 or higher hoto for 3 soj ...4 soj if it 38 or higher. I dont care what anyone says 4 soj is what a 38 hoto or higher will run you unless your desperate and need the sojs right away. with the 3 sojs (guessing) get enigma. From there countess and summoner will be simple....nilith may give a smiter or zealor trouble..i have godly smiter and i have trouble so i use my hammerdin...so build a hammerdin and do key hunts ALOT till you get hoto, arach, 2 soj, um'ed shako, um'hoz, war travs/gore riders and mage fist... those are basic items u need to easily walk through nilith count and summoner. THEN YOU WILL MOVE ALONG WITH GOOD ITEMS

p.s and for the ammy...i personnaly use 2/2 seraph only becase i am maxed resistance with out maras....only pally's that should use maras is the ones that are doing the trist runs and are fighting meph...his convection is a mother fuocker...but easy if u use salvation for meph and lewer him away..if your all godly then , like me u can take them all at once(just go for meph first so the convections gone then turn your fanat back on for the other 2 pussies(Baal and Diablo)

As you stated you have only played 3 weeks. So you can't expect to be on top of the world that fast. The people who can get any item they want have been playing many years. And with past bots, dupes, few years of collecting would get you a lot.

I have not played sense a week after 1.11 started. But I started playing early on in 1.09. It was a lot easier to make profit back than I believe. (Not counting the explosion of the new keys)

Sense iv been playing there were always working bots, or a public dupe. The trading market was always on the rise.

Sense past newer patches, trading seems a lot harder. If the item is not perfect, or ultra elite, no one wants them. So bieng new, starting from scratch will be hard.

I would say best way to start from scratch is to begin ladder.

But as you were asking how do they find "Maras" and other rare items.

In my years of playing I think iv only found less than 5 Maras. Those were all found while botting too. 5 maras sounds like a lot. But for the hours iv played, I would dissagree. I believe almost all were in 1.10 using d2jsp bot.

If I were you, I would join ladder and creat a blizz sorce. reason is they are cheap, easy, and effective. Try to make as many spirit shields as you can. That item was worth so much when it went to NL. They require nothing to make.

Other than that, give it time. 3 weeks is not very long at all.

Use sorce to mf untill you can afford enigma. Than make hammerdin. There is your universal character.
