Glitches?

Here are 2 glitches that i notice sometimes.
When casting flamestrike, the flames dont actually come up. Just rings come up on the ground. Im not sure if it still does damage or not. Ive seen this happening not only on my pc!

Sometimes, my heros just dont get any experience when creeping! Only for a small amount of time ofcourse...lol not through out the whole game. I have a replay on this...I'll post it if anyone is interested.

So do any of you experience these?

I did notice that flame strike bug. It's terrible, since it doesn't do damage.

As for that creep thing, they don't get experience from creep after a while, at level five or whatever.

after levlel 5 you get 0 xp from creeps... kindda shitty if you ask me but meh owell. Heros should have more levels. but thats just me

and as for flame strke, its channeled magic isnt it? Which is why you need blood mage to shake his hand up and down for it to work properlly.

if you play roc, you can creep until lvl 10.

if you move you BM before the flamestrike is cast, it is cancelled. That stops players from running in hitting the button then running out.

At elvel 5 Exp from creeps is cut off. This was added to reduce mass creeping till level 10. It forces players to attack more, since only your enemy can give you Exp.

Damn im so glad i made this thread! I didnt know BM's spell was briefly channeled! And i didnt even know that XP cant be gotten from creeps after level 5!

All this after years of playing this game...

The Bloodmage must use 2 seconds or so to fully cast the spell. You cannot move duroing the channel. Second, the exp bug happens at Level 5 to avoid power leveling from creeps (you could do this in RoC).

Ppl, didnt you know that when u cast flame strike and move before it appears you have only the green rings and this is cancel in the middle of channeling

With Gameplay Constants, I believe you can edit hte level cap.

With skill editing, you can alter the cast time of FS.

However, this discussion is for melee so I decided to bring it up for you Custom guys out there.

Yes. You can take out the xp lvl 5 cap with editing of the gameplay constants or make many levels of xp caps.

you can also increase the rate of EXP gained I believe.

Not only that, but for also heroes that are secondary and such.

Also, a single hero does gain exp from any creep u kill, regardless where on the map he is.

No but sometimes you don't get exp from creeps even below lv 5. There's been a few times I creep'd my mine on LT and didn't get level 2.. As for flame strike you're probably mvoing out too soon. And choosing the BM must've been a bug in it self..

Of course you cant get exp from creeps if ur lvl 5. But you can take exp with units while your DK is away. Even i do it while away as UD- harass human with DK all the time and ghouls get your experience while you harass, multiple actions

A single hero gains full experience when a unit has been slain. Example, you get 100 experience for killing a hero by yourself at level 1 (if he is level 1). If someone is next to you, you each get 50. In Deadlock, most people have 2-3 heroes each so multiply that by like 2-8 and you will not really gain experience that easily. Creeps were invented for that reason of course!
