Gay laggy problem i never had before

I just reformatted my computer today, I installed steam. then counter-strike... i went to go play everything is going fine then for some reason i freeze up for about 30 seconds then i can play like normal again... this happend like every 3 mins. i run at 100 frames per second but when the freeze happens i cant do anything...

i tried reforrmatting again but no help, still does this... what could be wrong..


this never used to do this... i used to be able to play for hours and no gay freezey thing would happen

Try using different drivers for your video card. If that doesn't work, well I'll go from there.

yep, the drivers fixed it, i was using the latest driver and for some reason it dont wanna work, so i switched down one

It might've just been a bad driver installation, it's happened to me before. I don't know what card you're using, but the latest Geforce drivers work fine for me. You reformatted just because CS was giving you trouble? Isn't reformatting supposed to be more of a last-resort kind of thing?

hmmm im having this touble. It would say connection problem, then go back, then conn. prob. again, then go back. I swapped my default config and that fixed it for maybe 10 minutes, i tried updating the cl rate cmds but that dident do anything. Would a graphics card still be the prob. for me?

i format every 2 months, although i literally run the shit out of my computer, its always running to the max, even when i leave for a bit, ill set a bunch of downloads.
