I heard about Qtrax, I was reading about it while I was doing this newspaper's Sudoku. It is a legal P2P program that uses advertising to fund it and allow music recording companies to gain SOME profit. I don't really use those Limewire clones anymore, except for individual songs. If I want albums, I just torrent them or go to Galbadia Hotel.

I'm not downloading that until I'm sure it doesn't have adware/spyware.
The service has been endorsed by the very same record companies - including EMI, Universal Music and Warner Music – that have chased file-sharers through the courts in a doomed attempt to prevent piracy. The gamble is that fans will put up with a limited amount of advertising around the Qtrax website’s jukebox in return for authorised use of almost every song available.
i downloaded it haven't installed it yet.

Because there are overprotective nutbags that think the police are going to hunt them like dogs if they download a single Britney Spears song. So to make them feel "safe" for something that isn't really dangerous and save money in the process
