French or Freedom?

hey remember back right after 9-11, they tried to change French frys into "Freedom frys"

...that didnt catch on so well, wtf ever happened to that idea? did it spread to any resteraunts at all? did that work with ANYONE?

i know around tx it was a joke to us.

I think thare was a joke in Mad Mag a few months ago, thats how i found out about the hole french/feedom thing. I think that is a good idea! Why eat food that has the same name as a country that didnt help us destroy Iraq?

They where invented in holland, or in belgium if I'm not mistaking. As for the idea of freedom fries, its was just a part of that crazy, french hating trend that swept america after Bush failed to convince the U"N security council to go at war against Irak, mainly because of France. Or maybe because France was the most visible and active opposition.
