basically, what will happen. is one of 2 things

A. he does meph/andy/baal/diablo/whoever, the more people in the game the better the drops, when hes done, wahtever he doesnt want he will give away

B. he does the exact same thing, but sells the tiems for gold and leaves.

If you are starting over, it is good. Easy way to get beginner gear for free. If you're lucky, and the person is nice, they might give you more just because your restarting.

i have to disagree, just this night 2 hours ago i got a alma whatsit pala shield, from a barb, couple of days ago a lidless, it is just a case of pure luck to find the one genuine out of all the crap...lol not that i go looking for these specifically, but if i am not doing anything there is no harm, what i hate though is people who go into the same games, whining and whinging that they need ik armour, or some other thing, then sell it, hence i will usually only give to those who help me out or are genuinely trying to play for themselves...

i guess genuine people are more rare then getting six zod's from one monster at once cuz I've earned all my crappy armour through doing MF runs with only 69MF.... I recently got some low MF charms from rushing someone the other night so now my MF is 80-something (slaps himself for digressing). The only pure luck I got was when this guy traded his lidless for my m'avinas gloves and that was cuz he pittied the fact that all my gear was noob and I was lvl 78.

well i usually give anything that drops to the people that are in the game unless i need it and i dont relly need the things that drop from meph(norm)diablo and baal as long as it makes people happy im fine with helping people out it just takes aa little time thats all and free if wait games usually gove SOME decent stuff its not all the greatest but at least its free and even if its not alot you should still thank them b/c its nice

What you should do is make a account just for mules, and give things away only and ONLY IF you already have at least 2 of them already.
When I played ladder, I had free4all games just to get rid of crap I didn't need, or stuff I just couldn't carry out of the rooms.
At the end of the ladder season I gave away everything I had to other players on here, just for the fact that I didn't play Non Ladder.
If you want proof, search for Free4all under the open market area. I know some people got free gear off of me here.
It is rare, since everyone is so greedy, but it does happen.

Ladder is a set period of time where players play on bnet to get to be the best. Each character class has a ladder where the best are listed. Also, some items and gear are easier/harder to find. Certain runewords are allowed only on ladder as well.
Once the ladder season is over they all become non-ladder, and new characters need to be made to advance back up the ladder.

Thats right. but then in non ladder, if you did well at the ladder season, you could end up with runewords, and gear that non ladder players dont have. These are normally higher trade valued items since they can't be made in NL.

I disagree with you regarding the ladder showing who's "best". The ladder is a list of the top 200 highest-level characters of each class. While the dedication and stamina to sit thru endless baal runs might be considered admirable by some, I think there's far more aspects to take into account to be deemed the "best". Perhaps you meant "best leveler" or something to that effect. I've had my share of baal runs and witnessed way too many games where 2-3 char's do the killing while the others hide behind the back pillars :-/ . I'm not trying to flame or anything, but I hate that misconception many people have.

The ladder is a reset of the economy. Everyone must start fresh again. It's at its best during the first few months when it requires teamwork to get through the game. It's also nice when you find an item that hardly anyone has yet!

Sorry my post makes no sence even to me. I was exausted, so yours gves a better desription of the meaning. I do agree, it does not proove who is "best" since this varies from meaning to person to person.
So to retract that last post, I will put in it's stay ... Ladder is a resetting of economy (as you stated) as well as a tournament to see who can rise to the lvl of 99 first for each character class.

BUT THE FACT REMAINS ... what does that have to do with free if you wait games. Now back on topic ...
