Frag Dominant and Enermax are proud to announce our 4th contest together; the Enermax “Holiday Special†Photoshop Contest. This contest will be for graphic artists who want to show off their skills and creativity in a fun for all event. Create the most amusing piece of work and win a range of excellent prizes!

Rules:

- You may enter as often as you wish.
- Open to everyone (includes staff, players and family members).
- No irrelevant submissions. Any submissions not matching the canvas will be removed.
- Offensive entries may get you banned from the contest, so if you're in question, consult a FD Staffer on the forums.
- Upload all entries through TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting (you do not need an account to upload).
- Post your work to a response in this article.
- Must be in .jpg, .gif or .png file.
- Entries will be accepted until January, 3rd, 2009.
- Winners will be announced and awarded prizes on January 5th, 2009.

ROFL. I love how the first place price is a PC case. Do you have to win a series of 12 contests over the next year to win all the parts to build a complete computer?

Regardless of how much it may be worth (predicting someone is going to say "but d00d that shitz liek two thousand dollarz"), my computer pretty much stays in my room. A flashy case doesn't mean shit to me if there's nothing inside it, literally in this case.

While it's nice we have advertising for a contest, I just feel the prize isn't worth the effort on my part. But what's one man's trash is another man's treasure, best of luck to anyone entering the contest.

It's pretty obvious that the contest is to promote their sponsors, of which are providing the prizes.

Mainly because half of the entries are usually done with very limited Photoshop skills, crude jokes, or random junk like the example posted that is attempted to pass off as "win".

And the only people who actually win are desperate people, who overdo it visually. If you want an example, search any video made by a user named syncan on YTMND.com. The guy has probably the best YTMNDs on the site, but he severly overdoes it visually, gets his videos butchered by fads, and is getting nothing profitable in return except stars.

And also, look at the prizes avaiable. 1st prize is a PC Case, and the prizes below that one are the actual more useful and worthwhile things to win? I rather win a PSU or an External Drive than get a PC case. Unless, the PC case had something extra-ordinary or different compared to a different one, or you were a person that builds a lot of them.

And I don't hate the fact they are having a contest, it's just the concept of this one is somewhat.... dumb.

The case is garbage, the PSU is garbage, the external HDD is the only thing thats somewhat useful out of all of them.
