Forum structure/descriptions.

I have now added the both of you (Seradin and Aurora) to this staff forum. With all luck, you should be able to view and reply to this thread!

Anyway, we recently changed our Diablo forum structure. The new moderator felt it would be better with a different setup..it can be viewed here:

I figured I'd ask here, if any of you felt that the structure of this section needed any changing. Any forum additions? Forum merges? Forum name changes, description changes, etc?

If so, list your ideas here, and I can implement them. If you feel they're okay how they are, that's fine too! Unfortunately I know nothing about SC/SC2, so I'm not of much help in that aspect

You need to make the starcraft ç child board the main board of this section once the beta is released.

This will happen pretty soon already, so I will try to get a new board format here tomorrow. -a list of changes that are needed-

Here's an idea. If you guys can think of an interesting / remotely new article for Starcraft 2 (a top 10 list?), I can have it submitted to digg and other social bookmarking sites. Last one we did got us literally tens of thousands of visitors in hours-days from digg, IGN, and dozens of other huge sites.

Just a thought.

New Starcraft Section Structure:

The Section:

• The Section should have a name change to "Starcraft 2" name, obviously.

The Boards:
The main section should contain Only news on Starcraft and Starcraft 2. Only moderators should be able to make new threads here, to keep the news thread' first posts nice and clean. Members can post in the threads made by the mods after that.

• Board: "Starcraft 2 Discussion"
• Description: "All discussions related to Starcraft 2 go in here."

• Board (made visible to all after starcraft 2 release): Starcraft 2 Recources"
• Description: "Check in here for all Starcraft 2 mods, maps and patches. Have you found something new and interesting? Made something yourself? Post it in here."

• Board: "Starcraft: Brood Wars Discussion"
• Description: "All discussions related to Starcraft: Brood Wars go in here."

• Board: "Starcraft: Brood Wars Recources"
• Description: "Check in here for all Starcraft: Brood Wars mods, maps and patches. Have you found something new and interesting? Made something yourself? Post it in here. Any hacks also go in here, but we advise you not to use any."

• Board: "Replays and Strategy Guides"
• Description: "All replays and strategy guides of Starcraft: Brood Wars go in here."
• Description (after starcraft 2 release): "All replays and strategy guides of Starcraft: Brood Wars and Starcraft 2 go in here."

• Board: "Starcraft Staff"
• Description: "Personal forum for Starcraft staff members."

All this keeps the forums clean and well organized. Now stuff is all over the place. And when Starcraft 2 is released, we really need the seperate sections. (look at StarCraft 2 Forum to get an idea of how large this is going to be. And that forum is really active even before the release... Imagaine what happens here if members start digging news threads.)

Also, new rules on tagging and thread anming should be made, but I will get back on that in about a week or so. We aren't having much activity anyway.

Great layout, I'll get on it asap. Sorry I didn't respond quicker..computer issues.

Donny: I'll make sure to make invisible redirects to anything I rename, so no one will get "link not found" errors from google.

I will now start moving some threads around that belong in other boards in this section. After that, I think I might add some stuff to discuss.
