Currently, at level 40.

At level 61.

At level 70.

Some people like lightning overload instead of elemental precision and improved reincarnation. It's really whatever you prefer, i plan to farm with this guy and have PvE utility at the same time (Hence unrelenting storm). I dunno, i'll make my final choice of if i'll take lightning overload or not once i hit 70 and see how well the other two are doing. +6% hit is nice, and it comes with threat reduction. And you can't beat imp reincarnation!

Picture it like this:
Elemental Mastery -> Chain Lightning -> Nature's Swiftness -> Chain Lightning -> Lightning Bolt

With that combo you're going to proc overload more often than not. Also, that's a giant heap of damage at the cost of one LB. Granted you're not always going to open like this, but when you do that's a lot of boom. =P

Also I've played with overload..I don't know if you have or not, but having played with it..if you're spamming LB's (which duh that's ele spec attack) it procs quite a bit. You obviously can't rely on it, but it's an excellent perk for dps. And my god you're never going to run out of mana if you have good crit gear and have Eye of the Storm. And to be honest.. Unrelenting Storm mana regen is barely noticeable.

I'll never waste an NS on a chain lightning. The casting time is 1.5 seconds so it'd be a waste. I'd rather save it for a clutch heal or just a regular lightning bolt.

And my god you're never going to run out of mana if you have good crit gear and have Eye of the Storm.

What does EotS have to do with mana efficiency? And seriously, why the **** do i need EotS anyway? I plan to 5 man and farm with this character, the only time i'd need EotS is for some PvP utility. It's useless in 5mans, if i pull aggro why the **** do i want to keep attacking the target? Lol.

That's because you only hit 63 and had very shitty gear. It's like saying mage armor sucks, when it clearly doesn't.

I don't mean to say your build sucks balls, but i *hate* running out of mana. And if i wanna be taken to 5mans repeatedly, i need the regen. And why did you get imp healing wave instead of cheaper totems? Healing wave has a tiny bit more mana efficiency than lesser healing wave, but it's so useless unless you're resto. The only time an elemental shaman is gonna need to heal, is when the shit hit's the fan and there's only time to spam lesser healing wave's (Or an NS+healing wave) repeatedly to relieve pressure on the main healer.

Ya, Imp Healing Wave is for PvP..I forgot lol. Cheaper totems..meh..that's preference..

I forgot that most of the time when I specced my shaman it was for PvP. But still..EotS is awesome. Without it I would run outta mana quite frequently..but if I had it I usually crit often with LB even with shit gear I would save a lot of mana.
