Is there some kinda program out which will stop me from getting 5 mins realm down?... .. does it save a file or something to my computer which wont let me log on for 5 mins??

It was already "patched" once hence the reason you get the 5 minutes downtime. I don't think they can patch it anymore other than increasing the ban time.

I also heard it goes faster if you reconnect to the internet.
