First Server up

[Forged]

The first wow server is up.
It is shitty and doesn't seem to function well, but you can get a look at char classes and what not.


How to get on the server:

1.Download the File Provided (important need this one)
2.Put all files in your wow folder
3.open file and put "69.56.169.50" for ip (no quotes)
4.Make a name and password.
5.connect
6.Go to realm list and pick the one with people on it
7.Explore....

To ****ing lazy to write how to connect to the newest SC server so I am going to do a c/p job from blizzhackers.

Step by Step Instructions By: NeroVendict

1. Install WoW Beta. (fresh no alpha files)

2. Make a shortcut of the file named WoWClient.exe and place it on the
desktop.Right click it---> properties and make sure you add " -uptodate
to the end of your file path(target.)

3.Create a new text file and name it WoW.ses in your Main World of Warcraft directory.(eg. Right click--->new--->text document) Open that file with a texteditor and use the first line for your username and the
second line for your password. Eg.
username:joe
pass:smith

4. Open the WTF directory and create a new file(eg. right click---->new--->text document) and call it autoexec.wtf
Open this file with a text editor and add this line
SET realmList "realmlist.gotwow.net" bam your done!

Press the ~ button to pop up the console, then type in:

realmlist realmlist.gotwow.net

Press enter and enjoy.

Indeed they are. I suggest just running the bittorrent overnight to get best results. =)

It is in the upper left section of the keyboard, right next to the "1" button.

in germany its next to the return button on its key there is: + * and ~

use alt gr + (+*~)

Mine says authentication failed when I try to enter a server... what am I doing wrong?

edit: nevermind, i did something wrong in the WoW.ses file, all fixed now

can't get in...

mine keeps sayin Authentication Failed, but i set up the wow.ses and everything that was in the instructions...i tried several formats for the username:xxx pass:xxx whatever thing and have been able to begin to join a game where it says Connected but it remains there and never joins or does anything.....any help?! i really wanna play this thing...

i feel stupid..

whoops yeah i figured it out.....but now whenever i kill something in the game, the game crashes, like, 5 seconds later. whats up with that? any way to fix it?

It is a server issue. They are currently working on trying to fix it.
