Finding items in diablo

I wonder, where is the best place to find items these days? I heard that the more you kill a boss the less items he drops, but I dont know if that ids true or not. I haven't played diablo or been on this forum in months, so im totaly out of it. Anyways where do you guys fuind your items?

ok, thanks, i do have another question tho..

I herad tht the more times you kill something the less likely it will drop good items, but if someone makes the game who didnt kill it yet the chances are as good as they were the first time. now if this is true, can i ust keep joining som act 1 games and killing mephisto, since those guys didnt kill him yet, and still have a bery good chance of getting my items?

the only thing i heard was the first drop u get from bosses is mea nt to be very good, but im not sure about what you said, i think its just random and luck, look a couple of posts down, thats all the drops i got in about 25 meph runs, there is some more actually aswell that i didnt add on there, like wts and mal, i only have 300 mf
