I don't know, maybe it's just me, but... lately, sequels have been quite disappointing. Spiderman 3 (screw you Mike, I was right--it sucked), Pirates 3 (I fell asleep during the second movie), the new TMNT movie--you get the deal. I figured that maybe--just maybe--the video gaming industry might be doing some things better than the movie industry is.

At least, I really hope so. I've been looking for a good excuse to come back.

Well, what good movies have came out since videos came into existence? Okay, maybe not that far, but, Nintendo-era.

Pulp fiction. I'm sure there are others.

Not to say it holds a candle to 12 Angry Men, but that's beside the point. I don't look at a movie's medium as a measure of its quality.

I should have said ever. Movies are highly overrated. Anyways. The golden age of video games has passed for a while. Too much graphics, not enough gameplay. SNES had it nailed. Sure, weren't the best graphics, but it allowed to focus more content. Now, with HD and all this BS, all anyone cares about is graphics.

Sure, SNES had great games, but it had its limits; newer consoles have developed many greats as well. There can be a happy medium between graphics and gameplay. That medium is where games like Halo, Half-Life 2, Metal Slug 3, God of War, Final Fantasy 7, Smash Brothers--not to mention the classics like Secret of Mana, Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog and the like--have risen from. Unfortunately, good games such as those only occur once in a blue moon.

My fingers are crossed hoping that Starcraft II's release date will be announced to be "Coming This Blue Moon."

Since you are already very picky about your movies, and could only name one movie that you "seemed" to enjoy chances are that you will not like SC2 because its new, and because its not what you are used to.
