Final Skill For MF Sorc? / What Merc And What Equipment?

Hello to all, when I started this sorc last night, I was just setting out to do a fun MF'r sorc .. so i came up with this..


20 Ice Bolt

20 Orb

20 Mastery

But not a clue what to put the rest into..... my mana already does not go down [unless getting pounded by boss's] and that is still ALOT of points left over...... ts with mastery? As of right now, im at 400 or more MF and still cant equip much of my gear ^^.

Next Up.... Merc?

Is a merc needed for an mf'ing sorc? I havent played much since .10 and still getting used to the synergies and such, but wondering if a flat cold sorc can handle itself without one, if not, which merc, and what to hook it up with?

merc is definitely needed, they tank for joo!

also, jus max up thunder mastery and thunderstrom for more effects

offtopic: sigh.. som1 jus comes into my acc and deletes all my high lvl chars and makes new char named "LOL_TOLATE"
if any of you did this, which i highly doubt it, jus turn ur self in.

Thats what i was thinking, appreciate it, but never really hooked up a merc before **Sigh** What is best for em [please, a little cheaper than botd] ^^

Act2 Merc is good against pindle, since ur cold sorc, then mayb a def merc for act2..

Gears could b

Helm:gaze
Armor:Shaft
Weapon:Bonehew wit 2 ELD runes in them.

I just got a 2086 stone for merc... non eth though, just wondering how much str do the a2 mercs get to?

Thier str is around 170, i believe.

Well you can set it up how ever you want, but i mf with meph (hell)

I have set up like this:
Lvl 29 Meteor
Lvl 29 Fire Ball
Lvl 10 Fire Bolt(1 skill into it only)
Lvl 10 Inferno (1 Skill into it only
Lvl 10 Fire mastery (1 skill into it only)

My meteor damage is 7084-7422
My Fire ball damage is 3094-3416

I also have
Lvl 9 shiver armor(1 skill in only)
Lvl 9 Cold mastery(1 skill in only)
Lvl 29 Blizzard

Lvl 9 static(1 skill in only)
Lvl 9 Energy shield(1 skill in only)

WIth this set up(using fire+static) I do Hell meph runs in about 55 seconds each. I have no problem killing him at all. Seems very fast and efficiant.

PS.I got 1097 life, and 815 mana at lvl 83

Ptopez Tals armor
Tals ammy
Tals belt
PDiamond Lidless
WizSpike
37 mf chance
48 mf war travs
soj x2
Second weapons
Ist ist alibaba, ist ist ist ist monarch

This is what I use to kill Hell Meph, i have no problem at all.

I've been starting to do better against him, but still kinda rusty, he's been winning more than I have... *ouch* so I've been held to no bot pindle runs...ouch again, but I'm loving this character, at about lvl 60 [perhaps a reason for gettin owned by meph?]I am owning in baal runs/cow runs :-0
