Final Fantasy question

Why is Final Fantasy named FINAL if its not really Final? There is 12 or so and they all have FINAL but there not Final. Any ideas on this?

actually Final Fantast games are named that way for a very good reason. In its early years square did not do so well in fact the first Final Fantasy was supposed to be their last game. It was a success though, and it became the name of the line of some of the best RPG's ever made.
