FFXI Worth it?

I bought FFXI, but have no idea how good it is. I only bought it for the hard drive, which I got for Resident Evil Outbreak. I just sold the FFXI game on ebay It looked like it'd be alright, but not worth buying. Maybe if someone was giving it away.. I'm with Scorn though. Buy something you know will be good instead.

Depends on what kinda MMO fan you are. If you like the MMOs that take awhile to get anywhere, and are not over within a month with little end game content, FFXI, EQ, EQ2 and similar are for you.

If you like fast paced MMOs you want something more like WoW.

From what I've heard from friends, no. Get WoW instead. Oh wait...143 hours lololol. Get Lineage II.

I've heard lots of bad things about Lineage II, lol.

get EQ II if you have a good computer and are a hardcore MMO player (I.E. you can spend more than 30 hours a week on it)

get FFXI if you have a decent/low end comp and are a hardcore MMO player.

Get WoW if you have a decent/high end comp and are a casual rpg/mmo player (I.E. you can spend <30 hours a week on it).

FFXI and EQ 2 have the longest life. WoW is kind of short for now, untill they add some more end-game content and/or an expansion.
