You know in FFAs you have to be ready for everybody, you should be able to counter everyting, and have a hero that works for all. What units do you think will be good.I stick to ground strats: they can counter other ground and with sorc i can stop some tier3 if somebody happens to mass chims/wyrms.Some hawks are needed and you really should keep the sorc away before you attempt to poly. They die preety fast in a limit of wyrms/chims.
Every hero is welcome for FFA i think.

The best is 'a little from all' strat.

ummmm...people tend to go mass air in FFA with humans....Becoz it is easy to maneuver them and they are very good agains other air and ground...HOwever ofcourse they can be easily countered... i saw this game however with insomnia(humans) in FFA...He went mass air and killed mannnny armies...even an orc army with mass headhunters(no clue how)...but he ended up loosing to an undead army with mass gargs....pretty cool game

I personally would get everything, like griffins, knights, riflemen, breakers, AM, Pally, just a few hawks like 2 or 3, 3 or 4 sorcs for slow and invisible, and 4 priests for dispel

i would hold out on the griffins and knights though because it requires tier 3 and in a ffa i would mainly stay in tier 2 till i have enough ca$h.

with an AM i would get WE but if i see my opponent gets range then ill get Bliz, and for my pally it's always 2 into divine shield, 2 into heal, 1 into devotion for the first 5 skills.

with these units you could take out most air if youve been keeping up, and you could provide enough time from your breakers/knights/WE's to hold off any ground and with healing too from your pally for the air to come in and sweep up their ground army.

once your pally hits level 5 he will be near unstoppable to kill

i personally wouldnt get seige in a ffa because i would rather spend the food limit on air cuz what's the chance an enemy will just get unarmored units without any meat in a ffa/solo game?

i use to be a human player but since i havent played inawhile then it might be harder than i thought

And i would get several footmen, rifles, all 3 type of casters,mortars-only if the situation requires them, some tanks maybe, poly for sorc and hawks probably to stop mass air. With tanks and some rifles together with poly and blind it will work

Darkmage:
1)footies/rifles/motars die to easy esp if another enemy comes in
2)seige require a bit micro on targeting the unarmored units
3)and 3 casters require a lot of money and youll most likely get attacked once which will mess up your gold
4)with 3 casters youll need a mage
5)wouldnt you rather have casters than tanks?

Yes, ^^.

You definitely NEED to get a few gryphs and a few dhawks to negate ANY dangerous air and add some attacking power to your army. Gryphs and Dhawks are almost a requirement now....if you are playing HU.
