Metal. I'm guessing that the Craptallica, and Iron Maiden, and other bands like that are really the Metal type music. I don't listen to Metal. I listen to more Rock music.

Probably Bullet Ride by In Flames if you'd consider it metal.

Personally I'm more of a fan of the precursors to today's metal (Black Sabbath ftw?).

Though lately I've moved from metal to Prog rock. Specifically Pink Floyd.

Metallica wasn't crap with it's earlier songs, but I personally don't like all their newer songs. And Black Sabbath is awesome and ftw. Pink Floyd is great as well. And Bret, Metal is Rock. Metal originated from rock. If there was no rock there would be no metal, and no rap.

Impossible to say, but a few of my favorites: Ensiferum - Hero in a Dream, Empyrean Sky - Into the Depths, In Flames - Embody the Invisible, Marilyn Manson - Astonishing Panorama of the Endtimes (yeah that's right..listen to this song), Opeth - Bleak, and Moonspell - Opium.. to name a few. I like so many more though, it's impossible to say.
