Personally I think the entire scene is getting waaay too corrupted. More and more people seem to be going to raves to primarily pick up chicks... it's sad really. I went to The Avalon in Boston a few months ago on a Thursday night. It was some progressive DJ, forget who, but basically everyone was standing elsewhere. The DJs were going nuts, but all the guys were sitting at the bar, trying to hit on the few women there, while the rest of the women just sat at the tables or whatever.

Finally I was like, "Alright, **** this. This is just sad, let's go out there." to my friends. One of my friends, Steve had these lights that could wrap around his arm, and went from his hands to his shoulder, so I didn't feel unusually self-conscious that night.

It was awesome though, we had the whole dance floor to ourselves for a few minutes before people started joining in. I even met some cool people, but yah. Just one example that places like that are quickly becoming 'Singles Bars'.

I know of The Palace, but does anyone else know of some good techno clubs in the Boston city area?

If you're talking about like heavy guitarz and stuff like that.....Metallica uzed to be cool but now Larz made them punkz. I'm not to deep into Rock, but my favorite band iz like rock iz Zud Izland.
