just saw it... cant believe bush is president. once all u bush lovers see it u wont love him anymore

42% of the time before 9/11 he was on vacation instead of reading documents that were titled "Osama Bin Laden was planning to attack the United States"

if he read if my city wuld still have wtc that ****Er

Also Bush is so concerned with being friends with the Saudi Arabians bc they invested 1 trillion dollars in the US that he rather have more guards guarding their embacy and 1 night in ALL of Oregon usually has 12 police in total on duty

those r just 2 of the points

X, you seriously believe any of that bullshit? Yes, he said those things, but not in that effect. That movie is just edited to make it look like he said everything at the wrong time and look like an ass.

Raging liberals. All stupid ****s. It's anti-war mongering, and it's bullshit. Come over and blow up things, and, oh no, we won't fight you, let's talk this out? Asshat.

Anyone who thinks like that is so ignorant that it’s not even funny.

F911 has bent the truth so far to the point that in many places it broke. In fact, there’s a good chance that its awards for best documentary will be revoked, since technically a documentary has to be completely factual.

Let me start off by posting a little something I wrote up the other day showing that the main premise of the "documentary" was based off something that has been proven false:

Clarke, the former White House counter-terrorism official and author of a recent book blasting the Bush administration's handling of intelligence leading up to the terrorist attacks, told The Hill newspaper last week that he gave the go-ahead for two members of the bin Laden family and other Saudi nationals to leave the U.S.

"It didn't get any higher than me," Clarke told The Hill . "I take responsibility for it. I don't think it was a mistake, and I'd do it again." (June 01, 2004)

Contradicting what he said in National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, supporting Barbara Boxer’s rumor that the Bush administration was the one who gave the order: “The request came to me and I refused to approve it." So now we have a Michel Moore documentary WHOS PREMISE WAS SET AROUND THAT RUMOR, WHEN ONE OF BUSH’S GREATEST ACCUSERS IRONICALLY ADMITTED THAT THE ENTIRE CLAIM WAS FALSE.

As you can see, he only admitted this in early June. Moore decided to just let the "documentary" be released anyway with his own anti-American messages, even if they were fictional, rather than current them and delay the release.

Let’s look into those figures of yours. First off, the number Moore uses as evidence for his case that Bush was allied to Saudi leaders isn’t in the trillions, it was $1.4 billion. Interestingly enough, 1.18 BILLION OF THAT FIGURE WAS TAKEN FROM DEALINGS CLINTON MADE WITH THE SAUDIS EARLY IN HIS PRESEDENCY. YET HE STILL USES THOES NUMBERS AS EVIDENCE FOR BUSH'S DEALINGS.

Hate to say it man, but Clinton went golfing on vacations too. And Moore claims the security leaks where Bush's fault. Let’s see... THERE WERE AT LEAST SIX TIMES WHERE CLINTON HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO CATCH BIN LADEN, BUT DECIDED NOT TO. ONE TIME, THE CIA WERE IN POSITION TO MOVE IN AND DEAL WITH HIM WHEN CLINTON SENT AN ORDER AT THE LAST SECOND TO CALL THEM OFF. THE SIGNS WERE WELL BEFORE BUSH'S TIME. HOW LONG WAS HE IN OFFICE BEFORE 9/11? NOT EVEN A YEAR. THAT’S NOT ENOUGH TIME TO CLEAN UP ALL THE EXISTING SECURITY HOLES.

Let me give you a little metaphor. Let’s say that I made a "documentary" of Clinton's presidency where I completely ignored any of his accomplishments or the economic growth. Let’s say my main focus was his selling of ICBM technology to China and using the money on his reelection campaign and his bombing of Baghdad (which, interestingly enough, the liberals ignored at the time). That would be somewhat like what F9/11 is. Except there are shitloads of solid evidence supporting those facts and related ones, while most of Moore’s figures he uses as "evidence" come from completely unrelated things. He just fails to mention the exact nature of the figure.

Anyone who actually thinks Moore's description of Iraq as a great place with people flying kites along beaches is so uneducated that they shouldn't be allowed to vote. The VAST MAJORITY of Iraqis are much happier after we came in. Many people just don’t realize this because the media likes to interview the rare people who lost something. The human rights abuses committed by Saddam Hussein aren't chit chat material, so I'll just provide a whitehouse.gov link: http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/iraq/decade/sect4.html

I don’t claim to agree with everything Bush did. Yes, im a conservative, but no, I don’t think the war was constitutional, and no, I don’t agree with the way Bush went to war. But I think that some stuff you might read about in that above link and also the issues with him mustard-gassing his own cities because of their heavy shi-ite population (would be the equivalent of me gruesomely killing the entire population of a mostly-black neighborhood just because I was racist) merits it. Many people don't agree with me, and if you can back up your points, I respect that. Consider voting for Kerry, that’s what Democracy is for in this country. But don't start thinking that what Moore said was true. I've read articles by multiple major liberals saying that they disagreed with the movie for portraying America in such a negative manor, even if they disagreed with bush. So don’t think that as a liberal you have to agree with Moore... many liberals don’t.

Alright, im tired of arguing this out over and over on IM, and I had to rewrite this entire post because the domain kicked out on me. Let me just say this. Any c*cks and c*nts who actually believe in Michael Moore's America should get their sorry motherf*cking asses over to France. Were in the middle of a goddamn war. Speak up against it if you want, but don't intentionally try and lower troop morale. Moore claims hes for the troupes... Hah, moorelies.com has him quoted as egging the Iraqis to win the war. Why the hell do so many Americans hate their own country these days? Have we forgotten what the rest of the world is like? Have we forgotten the power of democracy? If you don't like bush, speak out against him truthfully, support your claims, and vote for Kerry. That’s why we have democracy. But don't start attacking America as a country and trying to lower our international appearance any more than it already is.

If Kerry is elected, I will probably speak out against things that he does, but I won't try and make things that he does turn out less well. We're in a war. You may not agree with it, but we are. So why the **** are people like Michael Moore doing thier best to make the war go horribly? We can't do anything about it now that we're in it, so whats so wrong with trying to make the final outcome as good as possible, even if it isn't the outcome you would have desired from the beginning?

Is it worth hurting a country that already has major wounds even more? Is it worth trying to deface and destroy your own country for the sake of making a political point? And is it worth bending facts nearly as far as Moore did to achieve anything? On this forum, I tried to go along with everything Cort, Skuzzy, and Placebo told me to do when I was under them, even if I disagreed with them. I might express my disagreement, but if they decided to do something I would do my best to work for the best possible outcome along the path they chose. The one time I remember not doing this was when Placebo made some rules he was going to enact I truly hated (as some of you hate the war), and I didn't go along with them. Two days later the forum went offline for a month. I should have supported him no matter how much I disagreed with him, and I still feel bad for not doing so. And this is what I fear is happening to the country. Support whoever you have; they're all you've got. Disagree with them, vote against them, but reach for the best possible outcome along the path they choose.

"Democracy is the worst form of government. Except all others"
-Winston Churchill

Moore put a good case against Bush. However, unlike other documentaries, Moore is accused of not putting evidence that will hurt his movie. Most of it can be believed but there is always two or more sides to a story.

This one paragraph is what usually makes republicans look like callous pricks. But hey, if you want to hurt your validity with the "OMG LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!1" bullshit, I'm not going to try to stop you.

I will, however, point out the fact that you're living in the world you are because of dissenters. So while you may preach that if I love my country I won't speak out against it's actions I'll preach that if you love your country you will.

Read it more closely please. I said to speak out when you feal your country isnt doing the right thing, but Michael Moore is attacking the country. Speak out, but don't harm your country for the sake of doing so. Someone who loved America wouldn't intentionally try to bring down America's international apperance which is already abysmal thanks to the media.

I guess what I'm wondering now is where you get that he's attacking America rather than speaking out on it's actions. Aren't those synonymous? And last time I checked George W. Bush isn't America. Neither was Clinton, and believe it or not guys... neither was Reagan! I guess your main point is the assumption that Moore made his movie with the purpose of lowering troop morale. Not quite sure where you got that impression.

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win."
-Michael Moore, April 14, 2004

Michael Moore knew damn well what he was doing when he made that "documentery". He made a film that portrayed things in a mannor practically the opposite of what they truely are, while in full knowlage of they way many other countries currently view us. He knew the controversy that would be started, and he knew that it would only make the war harder.

And when did I sad that Bush or Clinton or anyone else WAS America? You seem to think that my opinion is a conservative one, many of my ideas here were spawned when reading an article written by a LIBERAL senetor (couldn't find link and I need to go to bed, I'll try and have it for you tomorrow), who disagreed with many of bush's actions and is planning on voting Kerry, but was insulted by they way Moore portrayed our nation in a time like this. Im not trying to be pro-bush or against kerry or anything, right now Im anti-Moore. Kerry's reasonable, he speaks out against bushes actions within limits, he doesnt say things that stir up more international hatred. The PEOPLE are America, not the president, just like you said. If the people are well informed on what is really going on and vote Kerry, Im fine with that, thats whats so great about democracy. But Moore isnt portraying the truth, and he does this for his own agenda, at the sake of loosing more of the little respect left that we have overseas (I remind you that most forigners will take everything they see in this film exactly how it is portrayed as accurate). Thats what pisses me off. You hate bush and speak up agaisnt him, fine, my liberal friends and I agree with a crapload of stuff polically, dont you think for a second that I liked the way bush went to war. He was an idiot going to the UN. But he did, and made it much worse when he went to war, but we have to deal with that. I think it was worth it. If you don't, I respect that opinion, as I think its really a matter of what price we should be willing to pay for this war. Speak out, make your opinions heard, but do it in a civilized, reasonable way, and dont cut out any facts that hurt your cause. Tell the whole truth, then tell why you think your opinions are correct. If you sacrifice a good chunk of this countries dying respect for your own political agenda and don't tell anywhere near the whole truth just to help promote your point, then I have a problem with it.

You realize, the more controvertial something is, the more ppl talk about it and more ppl see it. It is all a way for him to make cahs off people who want to see more ways to bash the president they voted in.

okay, here we go...
"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win."
-Michael Moore, April 14, 2004
Yes, the Iraqi fighting style is quite similar to the fighting style used by the United States in the Revolutionary War. He could have phrased this better. Incidentally, it's easy to make Bush look unAmerican as well:
"There ought to be limits to freedom. We're aware of this [web] site, and this guy is just a garbage man, that's all he is." -George W. Bush regarding a website critisizing him.
Michael Moore knew damn well what he was doing when he made that "documentery". He made a film that portrayed things in a mannor practically the opposite of what they truely are, while in full knowlage of they way many other countries currently view us. He knew the controversy that would be started, and he knew that it would only make the war harder.
You say that he portrayed something that we aren't. What part of the film are you specifically talking about here?
And when did I sad that Bush or Clinton or anyone else WAS America?
I assumed this given the fact that Moore made a movie bashing Bush and you came to the conclusion that he hated America from it.
Pointing out that someone is liberal isn't likely to make me agree with him. Being an idiot isn't reserved for any particular political party. I would still be interested in reading his thoughts though if you find the link.

Again you make mention of how Moore portrayed the country. What part of the movie was this?
Im not trying to be pro-bush or against kerry or anything, right now Im anti-Moore. Kerry's reasonable, he speaks out against bushes actions within limits, he doesnt say things that stir up more international hatred.
What limits? How will attacking a leader that the world already hates stir up hatred for our country?
(I remind you that most forigners will take everything they see in this film exactly how it is portrayed as accurate)
Interesting...I'm glad that you're able to see beyond the lies and I pity the poor small minded foreigners who will accept everything as fact.
Speak out, make your opinions heard, but do it in a civilized, reasonable way, and dont cut out any facts that hurt your cause.
That's what all of politics is about. Are you going to vote against Bush because he leaves the fact that he raped the economy out of his campaign addresses?

"I'm cracking down on terrorists, but **** the economy. Screw little kids and old people. **** the sick. Unemployed shmunemployed."

Right. That's what politics is about. It's shit, but that's how it works.

Micheal Moore is shit, he isn't making this documentary to show how shitty the country is and how terrible bush is. He is using a national tragedy to make more money. In the end he is the people he hates, a glutnous ritch fat kat living in Upper Manhatan with his ceo friends.

This movie would be decent and he could make alot of good points if
1.He wasn't such a hypocrit
2.He tryed to be honest
3.He wasn't such an ass

Any c*cks and c*nts who actually believe in Michael Moore's America should get their sorry motherf*cking asses over to France
Just thought I would add how ****ing retarted and how tired of hearing this get out of the country shit I am...
Look it isn't that simple, you don't like where you are you try and change it. It is much beter than going 1000's of miles away to a place you don't know the culture, don't speak the language, don't have any you know in, don't havea job at, and don't have a place to live in. We aren't all Johnny Depp with his millions of dollars and french wife.....

I'm not familiar with Moore's personal life well enough to know whether that's true, but his motivation behind making the film doesn't stop me from agreeing with the message.

Micheal Moore didn't make Fahrenheit 9/11 for money. Micheal Moore didn't make Bowling for Columbine for money. Micheal Moore didn't write Dude, Where's My Country for money. Micheal Moore does nothing for money, he does it to get his point accross, and this time the point was: Vote Kerry.

Ok, I'm going to pretend for a moment things were left out of Fahrenheit 9/11. That would mean the things included in it still happened. If I kill a man after i help him across the street, it's still a ****ing crime.

"There are times to vote to make a statement, there are times to vote for the underdog and there are times to vote to save the country from catastrophe. This time we can and must do all three."

Well I point it this way. I havn't watched Fahrenhiet 9/11 but
I hate both Kerry and Bush. If I was the age to vote Id vote Kerry because both Bush Senoir and Junior SUCKED. We don't need him again chances are he going to waste billion of dollars on another unplanned war. So the only other choice is Kerry so we should at least give it a chance. Considering at the the first Bush term he spent 1.3 Trillion Dollars a ridustributed it to mainly the rich. The only decent choice is move to Canada, theres still plenty of room.

To Micheal Moore...

Micheal Moore rocks...
Hes a Smartass and thats what people want in a Documentry instead of Old Guy thats looks like the Price is Right Host -.-
He makes his movies intresting unlike 100% of other Documentrys...
I have watched Dude, Wheres my country and Bowling for Colombine. They were both Masterpieces. I must watch F 9/11 as soon as possible ;)
I'll get back to you after I watch it.
