Yeah, not the BEST bands in the world, but Ozzfest skipped on New York this year, so I'm going... Anyone else going to concerts sometime soon..?

What exactly is a 'family values' concert? I'm confused on the term 'family values'...

I'm confused on it, too. That's just what it's called... Korn, Evanescence, Trivium and so on are playing...

Sounds interesting, do you know if it's possible to get a full list?

****ing noob.

It's "Family Values Tour". Not Concert. It started back in like 98, with KoRn, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube Raminstein, Incubus, and Orgy. It started because KoRn and Limp Bizkit were signed under the same label, and Incubus, Ice Cube and Raminstein were all 'label mates' (Under Island at the time, I believe).

I've been to the past 3 of them. This year I'll go, but the lineup sucks.

Edit; From wikipedia

The Family Values Tour was created by the band Korn in 1998 to be an annual Hard rock, metal and rap tour. Korn headlined the first tour, then passed the headlining spot to Limp Bizkit in 1999. The tour took the year off in 2000, due to heavy competition. In 2001, Stone Temple Pilots and Staind headlined the tour. After a five year hiatus, the Family Values returned in 2006 with Korn, Deftones, Stone Sour, Flyleaf, 10 Years, and Dir en grey on the main stage. 2006's Family Values Tour featured a second stage for the first time in the festival's history.

Damn, I'm ****ing amazing at how much I remember.

I'm not overly fond of the lineup really. I might go if I have the money :-(

Tour, concert, whatever... I'm not too keen on listening to Flyleaf. She sounds like a whiny Avril...

And Avril herself is pretty bad. Ick.

Now the question is; why'd they choose THIS name?

I want to go, but they're not coming to Ohio. Bitches. I plan on going to see Rise Against sometime in August, though. Can't wait..=D

I considered Warped Tour, but Rise Against wasn't going to be there this year. I was pissed because I didn't get to go to last year's and they were in it. :(

I'm never going to warped tour again, EVER... Not only does the music blow but it was soooo packed tight I was forced to touch other nasty, sweaty, disgusting emo kids. Seriously, it was an ocean of bodies...

That's basically what moshing is to a female. Not that I would mosh during that concert, but I think a fight broke out at a food stand and it turned into one. And throughout the chaos some guys thought they'd take advantage of a situation...

Warp tour is a waste. The only bands I thought were worth seeing were kill switch engage and chiodos. Ozzfest is a damn waste too. Makes you wonder why they offer a free concert now. Sigh I wish I was back in the late 60's that would be the shit. See all the ledgends in concert.
